the burden of cambridgeprayer is to see a friendly and welcoming intergenerational movement of biblical Trinitarian night and day prayer springing up in Cambridge and overflowing to the ends of the earth, praying and proclaiming the promises of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, until they are undeniably fulfilled and the whole earth is set ablaze with ceaseless praise. in the process we catalyse christians to serve God through mission, justice, hospitality, wisdom and creativity, rejoicing in and continuing the work that our spiritual fathers and mothers have done before us, and encouraging and equipping young pioneers to bring to birth new things. we have been largely inspired by the vision and story of 24-7 Prayer, are big fans of what Mike Bickle's International House of Prayer is doing, and are friends with the nice people at the Oxford Prayer Room. |
